Homemade facemasks can be so much gentler and kinder to our skin. In this mask I use 4 essential ingredients- oats, honey, yoghurt and lavender.
Oatmeal is an excellent exfoliator, which means that the dead cells can be flaked which then leave the skin. It deeply cleanses the pores and nourishes the skin.
Yogurt contains vitamins and minerals that stimulate dried skin.
The content of yogurt contains antibacterial agents that kill acne-causing bacteria.
Honey can help soften and moisturize the skin and is also rich in antioxidants.
Lavender essential oil (optional) helps soothe the skin and is great for sensitive skin issues.
Simply Mix:
Place in the fridge for 30 mins as it infuses. This will have a cooling effect on the skin. Massage the face mask onto slightly damp skin, leave for 20mins, then rinse off with warm water and a cloth.
